The Arc is the nation’s largest community-based organization promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Founded in 1950 by parents, it has a network of nearly 600 chapters fosters lifelong inclusion for individuals across more than 100 diagnoses. They connect families to vital services, inclusive education, housing support, and workforce programs that champion true independence.
